One of the most powerful ways to support your child’s swimming journey is simply to let them play in the water, especially in the same space where they learn.
When kids have the chance to explore, splash, and have fun in a familiar environment, they build confidence and comfort that carries over into their lessons. Whether it’s floating on their back, diving under, or racing through the lazy river, this kind of unstructured water time helps them feel at ease and gets the excitement out of their system so they’re more focused when it’s time to listen to their teacher.
Our leisure pool is designed for exactly this kind of experience. The beach-style entry is perfect for little ones just starting out, while the toddler splash zone encourages safe, sensory play. Older kids can burn off energy in the deeper areas or take a ride on the 42-metre water slide (open weekends and school holidays). It’s a space where learning and fun go hand in hand.
Family swim time is a great way to complement our continuous swim school program, which runs year-round to help kids build strong, lifelong swimming skills. The more time they spend in the water, the more natural it becomes.
Separate fees apply for casual entry. Check our entry prices here.
