Heated indoor pools for all ages - toddler splash pool, 25m lap pool, slide and our new 50m competition pool

The Aquatic Centre within Arena Joondalup provides Perth's northern suburbs with the perfect destination for swimming, family fun and recreational activities, as well as training and competition. 

Members and casual users enjoy access to our new 50-metre pool, Perth's northernmost competition-standard pool. This heated, 10-lane pool features starting blocks and a submersible diving wall, making it suitable for both community swimming and competition events. Members can also use the heated indoor 25-metre lap pool and beach-style leisure pool, ideal for learning to swim, casual laps and adult swimming lessons. The leisure pool, heated to 30ºC, has a gradual depth from 0 to 1.2m, perfect for families and younger swimmers. 

Little ones can enjoy the toddler splash pool, while families have access to private change rooms for added comfort and convenience. The leisure areas also include a lazy river and fountain feature, providing a fun and relaxing environment for all ages.

For those seeking more activity, we offer a 3-lane 25m pool, a 20m walking lane for low-impact exercise and a 42m enclosed water slide (available for additional use outside the standard entry fee).

Heated Indoor Pools

50m Lap Pool (10 Lane):

Arena Joondalup is home to Perth's northernmost competition-standard 50m pool. The Olympic-standard, 10-lane heated pool supports both community swimming and high performance competition. Starting blocks at both ends, upgraded timing equipment, an improved shallow end and an LED results display ensure it's designed with competition in mind. A new submersible diving wall transforms the pool into short-course mode with up to 20 lanes, or reconfigures the space for water polo and other aquatic sports. 

Smarter safety is built in, with AI-powered drowning prevention technology helping keep swimmers safer in the water.

Access for everyone is a priority. New access ramps and stairs, upgraded changerooms and universal access toilets ensure the facility can be enjoyed independently and comfortably.

Expanded pool deck space enhances the aquatic environment, while a new entry statement artwork - co-created with St Catherine's College - celebrates local culture and community, creating a space shaped by art and heart.

Modern, inclusive and competition-ready, the refreshed aquatic hall welcomes swimmers of all levels. 

25m Lap Pool (3 Lane):

Our heated 25-metre, three-lane pool is designed to be flexible - ideal for casual lap swimming or adult lessons. It's also a popular space for our kids' swimming lessons, making it a welcoming pool for both families and individual swimmers.

Leisure Pool:

With its beach-style entry and gentle depth that increases to 1.2m, the heated leisure pool is perfect for families and younger swimmers building water confidence. The area includes playful features such as a lazy river and fountain sprays, and for those chasing excitement, a 42-metre enclosed waterslide winds down into the pool (slide access available for an additional fee). The adjoining toddler splash pool provides a safe and fun space for little ones to enjoy the water.
