Arena Joondalup pool redevelopment awarded for design and construction excellence

The Arena Joondalup Pool Redevelopment has been recognised among Western Australia’s outstanding construction and design projects, receiving two major industry awards.
Byte Construct won the Master Builders WA Building Excellence Award for Commercial Restoration/Renovation
($5 million–$20 million) for their work on the Aquatic Centre’s redeveloped 10-lane, 50 metre lap pool.
The project also received honours at the 2026 Australian Glass and Window Association WA (AGWA) Design and Industry Awards, with Visual Artist Rick Vermey’s window design winning the ‘Bespoke Design Project’ award.
Together, the awards recognise the high standard of 'Made in WA' construction, specialist design and collaboration that resulted in the exceptional aquatic facility now enjoyed by the Joondalup community and visitors.
