A little about our Creche Attendant, Tyla

Qualifications:

• Certificate III and IV in Children, Families and community (Early Childhood education)

• Provide First Aid in an Education and Care setting

• Working with Children Check

Experience in childcare:

I have been working with children for as long as I can remember. I started with doing my high school work experience at primary schools and daycare centres, learning how to develop strong bonds with children but also learn how I can make activities fun and educational for all ages. Once I finished high school I went and got my qualifications straight away. During my Cert IV prac is where I came to VenuesWest and I never left.

Why I love working in the creche:

I love talking with the children in the creche while simply drawing a picture to see their imagination take over and what they can come up with, for beautiful relationships with both the children and parents and one of my favourites is with the babies and helping them develop from tummy time, to rolling, crawling ad waking while they are here with us, such a special moment to see so many children grow within our care here. I have loved my time here and still see so many children who are now 18 and full-grown adults that will wave hello or tell me about their achievements since I last passed them in the big world. It always will be the best feeling knowing that I have made an impact on the children in my care that they still remember me after years have passed.

Hobbies:

I am a mum of 2 children and 2 dogs. They all take up most of my time as my husband is FIFO. You may see my daughter and son in the creche with me sometimes, they will probably greet you at the door like they work here but they truly just love to try and make every child their best friend. When not at work my son and I practically live at the dance studio for my daughter who competitively dances and loves it. We have lived at the studio so may days a week my son has now joined 2 classes himself and well its now become both their hobbies! If we aren’t there we are normally out with friends and family, at a park trying to burn even more energy or playing with all our toys and crafts at home.
