If you've never stepped foot into a group fitness class, you're missing out! Not only are group classes energetic and motivating, but they're also extremely effective. Ready to give it a try?

Here's why you should attend a group fitness class.

  1. Be more motivated than ever:
    Half the battle of building a fitness routine is actually getting your butt to the gym to begin with. With group classes, you'll be more motivated than ever. The energy of the instructor and other class participants together with the infectious musical beat will draw you in and ensure you have fun while working out and leave you eager to come back for more. You'll workout beyond your perceived limitations as your certified instructor pushes you to your limits. You're also likely to work out harder than you would on your own, as everyone is exercising toward the same goal.
  2. Be more social:
    An activity that gets you off the couch and allows you to meet people in your community in a friendly and healthy environment has to be a good thing. Making new friendships with people who have similar lifestyle goals and needs gives you a sense of belonging and makes you more accountable to commit to regular attendance. You're likely to have more fun exercising in a group than working out on your own too.

    Group fitness classes are available in a variety of workout styles. So if your goal is cardiovascular improvement and weight loss select an aerobic-based cardio class, whereas if your goal is to improve muscular endurance and strength select weight training or boot camp classes or if you want to improve your flexibility, core strength and balance try a yoga or Pilates class.
