Updated: 1 September 2022

We are upgrading the lighting at the hockey astro turf to provide an enhanced training and competition experience for all users.

Works to install the new lighting poles will begin early September, following the completion of the hockey season, with the new lights scheduled to be operational from November 2022.

Once complete, the new LED lights will provide;

  • Improved experience for hockey training and matches
  • Increased power efficiency
  • Reduced ongoing maintenance
  • A more sustainable lighting option through LED technology
  • Reduced down time in the event of a power failure. Currently, it takes around 15 minutes for the lights to return to full strength, whereas this is instantaneous for LED lighting)
  • Two settings for lighting - 250Lux for training and 500Lux for major grade club competition.

Project updates will be shared here, please check this page for ongoing updates on the status of the project.

We look forward to delivering this important project to you in the coming months.
